Shepton Mallet Benefice Churches
To know Jesus and to make Him known
Your child is precious to you and precious to God. You want the very best for them, and so does God. You want them to grow up to make good choices. Baptism is just the beginning of this and so much more.
Over the years to come, it’s a journey you’ll share together with your child by being there for your child to talk to about the bigger questions of life – questions about hope, faith and love, praying for your child through the ups and downs of their faith journey, showing them practically how to make those good choices in life, helping them to learn more about their Christian faith, through their church and in other ways.
So it’s a commitment to start as you mean to go on.
If you are interested in exploring Baptism for yourself or your child, please join us at a few of our Sunday services so that we can get to know each other. Getting to know one another is important because it will help you to keep the promises of Baptism to follow Jesus and take your place in the life and worship of His Church family. Service times can be found here.
Application forms for Baptism can be collected from the church. Please ask one of the welcome team to introduce you to the Rector, Jonathan Hunter Dunn, or one of the leadership team, who would love to meet you.
