Shepton Mallet Benefice Churches

To know Jesus and to make Him known

Bible Fellowships 2016 / 17

Bible Fellowships are small groups of around 8 people, meeting weekly to study God’s word together, pray and encourage one another.  They aim to contribute to fulfilling our mission, particularly focusing on the first 3 of our 6 vision goals:

  • Strengthen our Bible teaching
  • Stimulate our prayer life
  • Deepen our fellowship

There are 5 Bible Fellowships meeting in Shepton Mallet, on Monday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings and evenings. They meet about 10 times each term, for about 2 hours.

The Bible Fellowships will strengthen our Bible teaching by giving us an opportunity to read and discuss a Bible passage with other Christians, helping us to understand and apply God’s word to ourselves: a crucial element in becoming a mature Christian.  This adds to, and builds on, growing in maturity through personal Bible reading and through Bible teaching at church services.
